Ingredients:
- ½ cup cocoa powder
- ¼ cup cornstarch
- 3 egg yolks, beaten
- 1 ½ cups sugar
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- 2 cups milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

This pie doesn’t include meringue, but you can add it if you’d like.
- In a medium pot, combine the cocoa, cornstarch, beaten egg yolks, sugar, salt, and vanilla. Gradually whisk in the milk, stirring constantly.
- Cook the mixture over medium-high heat, stirring continuously, until it thickens to a smooth consistency.
- Pour the thickened filling into a pre-baked pie crust.
- Refrigerate the pie until it’s fully chilled.
