When railroad inspector Josh Cyganik overheard a couple of teenagers making fun of an old man’s house, he decided he couldn’t sit idly by.

He heard the teenagers say, “But look at this horrible house, it’s long overdue to be burned down!”

.

So he decided to post a call on Facebook for anyone who would like to come and help him improve the look of the house.

“A couple of weeks ago while I was working I overheard two teenagers talking as they passed an old man’s house. They were talking quite loudly and I could hear that they felt the place should have been burnt down a long time ago. So I am asking anyone who would like to give a little of their time this Saturday to paint this gentleman’s house.”

.

The reaction of the people exceeded all expectations. People came from all corners of the country, even from California and Texas.

.

“I am not a hero. I was raised with a sense of respect for my elders and the idea that I should help the weak. I just did what I had to do,” says Josh.
